Organic Bistro uses dual-ovenable paperboard trays for our Whole Life Meals.  PET Extruded Paperboard is considered to be one of the leading materials available today that is both oven compatible and human and Earth friendly.

Acceptable and Intended Uses

Organic Bistro's dual-ovenable trays are intended for use in residential or standard gas and electric ovens and/or microwave ovens for the heating or baking of frozen food products.  The acceptable range of temperatures and cook times for use with our trays is from  -40 degrees F for an indefinite period of time, up to 400 degrees F for 60 minutes.

Instructions for use in conventional, residential electric and gas ovens:

  1. Always remove tray from the retail carton prior to placing in oven.
  2. Organic Bistro paperboard trays are intended for use only in regular, full size home/residential ovens or standard microwave ovens.  The trays should never be used in portable electric ovens, toaster ovens or under a broiler of any kind.
  3. Conventional ovens should be fully pre-heated to the set temperature before putting the tray in the oven.
  4. The tray should be placed on the middle rack position and should be centered so that the tray does not touch the walls of the oven or the oven door.  Do not use the lower oven rack.
  5. DO NOT use broil settings.
  6. DO NOT reuse the paperboard tray for any purpose or to re-heat leftovers in conventional gas or electric ovens.
  7. Oven mitts should be used to remove the cooked Organic Bistro meals from the oven.  When removing the tray, take care to hold it as level as possible to avoid spilling.
